Julia is an absolutely amazing person to work with. She is a talented designer with great creativity and enthusiasm. She has done excellent work in a wide range of design, such as logos, infographics, publications, banners, and flyers. From idea conception to prototype to final product, Julia is always professional and patient throughout the entire design process, and she is very reliable and efficient. She has great management skills in handling multiple design projects. I can always trust her to deliver outstanding design work on time.

Julia's professionalism and ability to handle high pressure clients are just a few of her assets as a designer. While in my employ I enjoyed her ability to emulate most any style but was most impressed by those products driven from her fine arts background. It was such works that made Julia's style stick out from those around her.

I teach a strong flow class with emphasis on alignment and proper muscle engagement. I hope to bring to each of my students an awareness of the body and mind, and the tools to manage, cope, and thrive in a hectic and often anxiety-filled life. I started teaching yoga almost by accident. After moving to Ethiopia with my husband for his job, I looked for some semblance of familiarity in a place that was so foreign to me. Yoga was always a place I had gone to for solace, comfort, strength, and healing so when I heard they offered yoga classes in Addis Ababa at one of the gyms I jumped at the chance to attend. However, after the teacher failed to show up for class...twice, I decided I would lead the only other person in the room in a 45 min yoga flow. One thing led to another and I started teaching yoga in Ethiopia, five days a week, and privates. When we moved back home to DC several years later I went through my certification training at Journey Yoga with Sarah Lynn and found a new yoga home at Journey. Show less
