Within the first three months, I developed and owned a core planning feature for Fleets. I broke up high-level asks into smaller tasks to ship iteratively, and it is currently used by 1000+ users and will grow to 10,000+ at the end of 2023. I improved Haul's internal tooling by organizing and refactoring its FE components to limit code duplication. I automated a workflow that drivers go through to get credentialed in order to meet regulations, and I enhanced the product's usage of Elastic Search to be more precise and accurate. I wrote Mongo query aggregations to answer business intelligence questions that are presented in our all-hands as well as to the board. On the side, I created an analytics dashboard via PopSQL to display the usage of our fleet portal. Because the usage is rather low and it is a lot of effort to maintain, I looked to improve the portal to solely include necessary functionality for Fleets. Show less

I was a contributor to Workiva’s new Planning solution and was accountable for developing certain features such as sorting and filtering complex data structures. I also developed a migration tool that directly created edges within our graph database throughout all production and dev environments; approximately 3000 production environment accounts were touched and the migration was successful. I performed demos at our bi-weekly meeting with Customer Success Managers to introduce new functionality in our solution. Show less

I was an undergraduate teaching assistant for CSCI 112 Programming in C during Spring 2020 and for CSCI 127 Intro to Python during Fall 2020. I led a lab where I prepared and performed weekly mini-lectures to further describe key fundamental programming concepts. I was also a grader of a section that consisted of roughly 30 students.

As part of a school project, we teamed up with the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center (YERC) to rearchitect their Customized Online Aggregation & Summarization Tool for Environmental Rasters (COASTER) system. Our main goal was to give relevant users access to environmental public datasets such as the Google Earth Engine. Since the current COASTER system was not easily maintainable, one of our tasks was to create a scalable and extendable web app using modern technologies. I oversaw all operations of the project and conducted weekly scrum meetings to reach our sprint goals. We executed around 80% of our user stories over multiple sprints. My main contributions to this project were to build the infrastructure of our web app. By using a REST architecture and a MERN stack, we were able to create a scalable system that met our original goals. I was also in charge of integrating the Google Maps API to visualize the geological location of the requested RASTER file. Furthermore, I also integrated Travis as our CI and automated deployments to Heroku for each major release. Once the project and school came to an end, I worked with YERC to prototype a similar web app that utilizes some of the components from the previous project. This prototype is a rebuild of Climatescape, a web app that provides real-time environmental information. This project is built using React and communicates with one of YERC's endpoints for environmental data. Show less

I led a group of ten students weekly, teaching them the fundamentals of programming with Java. The students followed a curriculum provided by iD Tech, and I supplied additional material daily to challenge the more advanced, while providing cheat sheets to the less experienced to facilitate their learning process. I interned at the Department of Technology of the City and County of San Francisco through an internship program named Project Pull. Throughout my internship, I edited company forms, established Enterprise Agreements, used Microsoft Excel to rearrange data efficiently and logistically, as well as attended meetings and presentations. Towards the end of my fellowship, I teamed up with other interns from the program to present a hypothetical solution for the droughts in California. We conducted a presentation on cloud-seeding drones and created a prototype. Show less
