San Francisco Bay Area We've pivoted 4 times since starting Mindflow Inc. and are currently building Wisdolia, a Chrome extension that uses AI to generate flashcards with questions & answers for any article, PDF, or YouTube video so that you can better ingrain what you learn. We have a big vision and are starting off by helping students perform better in their exams by saving them time from creating flashcards needed to prepare for their exams. Check it out and let me know what you think! Chrome Extension URL: https://wisdolia.com Here are our previous pivots: 1. A learn-to-earn platform that rewards users with crypto for proving what they learned. We tool a lot of inspiration from play-to-earn games like Axie Infinity. https://learn.mindflow.gg 2. The Mindflow Games: a multi-day competition where participants earn points fro completing daily quests in the areas of Wellness, Seek Discomfort, Reflection, and Learning. Participants with the most points at the end of the competition end up being rewarded with the most money. 3. The Mindflow Social App: an social app for personal growth, thatโ€™s raw, authentic, and invites vulnerability around how youโ€™re aiming to grow as an individual. You can embark on growth journeys that are meaningful to you, track your progress, and share the journey of becoming better every day with friends on Mindflow. https://apple.co/3QFdPlE 4. SparkinJoy: The idea here was to connect the world through gratitude by creating a gratitude chain when someone writes a gratitude letter to someone else. Those that receive a gratitude letter have 48 hours to send someone else a gratitude letter before the chain breaks. https://sparkinjoy.com Check this page out for a more in depth overview of each of our pivots: https://julian.ai/mindflow If you would like to receive monthly updates on our progress, reach out to me! San Francisco Bay Area I've interviewed 30+ tech entrepreneurs to uncover what it takes to solve the world's biggest problems. The Recruiting Diversity Team: Our mission was to increase the number of diverse candidates that came into the recruiting pipeline and offer tools, content, and guidance to help level the playing field for them. I helped develop a platform where candidates could learn about data structures & algorithms and do practice programming problems. I very much enjoyed my time at Meta and have many positive things to say about my experience there. However, I could not resist the urge to take the quantum leap to become a full time startup founder! Show less

Remote Vize's mission is to help low-income workers find a job that they love and empower them to advance in their professional lives. We were building a Glassdoor for low-income workers and starting off with factory workers in Tijuana, Mexico because these people are often overworked, are not respected, are made to work in unsafe & unsanitary conditions, and are mistreated in many other ways. On the other hand, many factories face turnover rates as high as 90-120% of their workforce every year. Turnover is a massive problem that results in higher recruiting and training costs, lower quality production (due to rushed or insufficient training/experience by new workers), and unmotivated (and therefore unproductive) workers that have to take on more work when someone else quits. Our goal was to solve both of these problems by enabling workers to anonymously share their work experiences with their community so that workers can make better-informed decisions about where to work and factories have both the incentive and the information they need to improve working conditions (and therefore lower turnover rates). Vize never saw the impact we envisioned but it was my first real startup experience and the many mistakes taught me many invaluable lessons. Show less
