      Operations: • Wrote the Adoptions Dept. Operations Manual and designed many of the operational policies and programs for a new adoptions facility that houses 150+/- animals currently available for adoption. • Recruit, hire, and train new adoptions staff on all tasks including adoptions, customer service, Chameleon Software, Microsoft Outlook, opening and closing tasks, licensing, reception duties, and basic veterinary services (monitoring, treating, vaccinating, and microchipping). • Plan and run in-house and mobile adoption events. • Work directly with veterinarians and their staff to ensure safe and timely medical treatment of the animals housed at the adoption facility. • Active member of the shelter group that sends dogs, cats and other traditional pets to rescue when necessary as well as pulls from other shelters when space is available. • Built and maintain a network of adoption/rescue partners for sending small animals (rabbits, rodents, etc.) to rescue that have been deemed un-adoptable either behaviorally or medically. • Work directly with the public to handle adoptions, tours, questions, issues, and provide excellent customer service. • Handle VIP’s and donors when necessary to give tours, explain our mission, and ultimately show them the good that is accomplished with their support. • Coordinate four departments of volunteers at both the adoption facility and intake facility: adoptions, small animals, grooming, beekeeping. • Oversee clerical duties including scheduling, reception, and county services.
