Government subsequently reduced import duties on cars for the 2011 to 2012 fiscal year.Being selected by the Japanese government as Jamaica’s sole representative to observe Japan’s recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami that devastated the country in 2011.Invited by the Jamaican Government to accompany Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and a trade delegation on a five-day official visit to China aimed at reaffirming strong bilateral relations while ironing out significant agreements.
