As Chief Medical Officer of the UH Seidman Cancer Center, I am a member of the Executive Leadership team that oversees operations and develops system strategies for cancer care delivery. I serve as Executive sponsor for the Seidman Quality Program, oversee care delivery improvement projects such as inpatients length of stay and am charged with oversight of accreditation. I also serve as Medical Director of the Ambulatory Pavilion which houses multidisciplinary clinics and the Breen Breast Center. As Division Chief of Surgical Oncology, my role is to lead a group of surgical oncologists who specialize in breast surgery, endocrine surgery, melanoma and sarcoma surgery, gastrointestinal surgery and hepatobiliary surgery. Our group is charged with resident and medical student teaching, research and clinical care throughout the UH system.
