Take donations of toys into under privileged children in the inner city of Milwaukee. Manage the toy stock and keep the books. Arrange for volunteer help and manage the fund raisers. Santa's Summer Surplus was my brain child in 2005. I organize the toy stock, and count everything, collect donations, come up with the money making ideas, arrange for volunteers, and arrange for program sites to visit. I mostly visit Milwaukee Public School free lunch sites. The outdoor park ones are easy, the indoor CLC programs require clearance. This is something I have every year thru Girl Scouts so its easy to provide. However after years of doing this I am more recognized than usually required to show clearance. Sometimes I attend other functions such as daycare's, and neighborhoods. I focus on the inner city of Milwaukee, where there is a need. Some years are harder than others to raise money and get volunteers. My money slogan at this time is $1 buys a smile on a child. I have given 5120 children 10554 toys since 2005. Every child gets two toys of their choice because life is about choices, and its important to know how to make good choices. Its completely non profit and some times I take money out of my pocket to meet my toys needs. Show less
