Intern at STCAC under the super vision of Karen Hill the director of STCAC for the Fall semester of 2015. Learning about the steps and importance of Child Advocacy Centers around the Nation. Here I learned about the everyday tasks of the staff members, as well as learning the steps when a case comes in to the CAC. Children and families of abuse and/or neglect come to receive support through a traumatic experience. The Child Advocacy center has a multidisciplinary approach assisting children through the investigation, prosecution and treatment.
