Julia is an excellent teacher whom I studied with for two years in the ITI. As our English teacher, Julia taught me more than just English skills but also some soft skills like problem-solving and presentation. Also, she always had precise and effective advice that was based on me when I approached her for counseling. Without her help, I wouldn’t be where I am in my career today. I’m fortunate to have had the time I did with her, and I will always recommend Julia to any company interested in working with her.

Looking back on the two years at ITI, Teacher Julia was one of the most inspired teachers I have ever seen. With her great passion, she tried to bring different teaching ways for second language learners such as having debates during class, carrying out business simulations for corporate events, and introducing applications for online learning. After the demanding schedule, my TOEIC score increased by around 100 points.

I met Julia while she was a teacher at Season Arts but we worked together on events outside of the school. I had the pleasure and honor of working with Julia to establish and run an annual event called Soul Quest. This weekend workshop retreat brings people from around the island of Taiwan together to learn and share together. The workshop topics focus on yoga, mindfulness, art, health and wellness, and a plethora of other topics that support physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Julia is excellent at event planning and management. She is incredibly professional, thoughtful, creative, and thorough in all aspects. With her help and support we were able to expand the event each year adding additional food stands, vendors, activities, and musicians. It's an event that community members look forward to every year. Important aspects of event planning are effective communication, maintaining responsibility for following through with tasks, and networking. Julia was consistently reliable in all of these areas. It was easy and enjoyable to work with her. I also worked with Julia to run a fundraiser event for my nonprofit organization. Once again, she was very helpful and thorough is helping me organize a wonderful and successful event. I've attended other events she has organized and I can confidently say that they are all well organized with a lot of attention to detail, fun to join, and successful. Julia is very creative and talented and she brings those skills to the table with every event she plans. I highly recommend working with Julia on any event you would like to host.

Using the Reggio Emilia approach, I taught English in a theme-based curriculum to children ages 3-6. Reggio Emilia is a pedagogy that focuses on a student-centered approach, where students learn through a self-directed and experiential learning environment. With this method, the children must have control of their learning and be able to demonstrate through experiences of the sensory; touching, moving, listening, and observing.
