Assisting the Eurasian programs manager, Bryan Billings, and the Center for Civic Engagement, I was heavily involved in organizing two events at Bard College and in New York City. The first was an English language seminar for nine faculty members of The Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences at St. Petersburg State University (Smolny College.)The seminar was titled “Academic Communication, Research, and Writing in the English Language for International Scholars.” I was responsible for creating a packed schedule for the seminar attendees, to guide them through their two week stay at Bard. With the help of many indispensable faculty and staff members at Bard, the seminar was a great success, and a proud moment for the Bard- Smolny partnership. The second event that I helped to organize was a conference, "U.S.- Russia, Joint/Dual Degree Conference." This conference was a forum for discussion about various partnerships between American and Russian educational institutions, as well as international higher education, institutional cohesion in the future.
