    • Director of Programming- Camp SAY
      • Aug 2019 - Present

As the Director of Programming for Camp SAY my primary responsibility is planning and executing the programmatic side of Camp SAY: a Summer Camp for young people who stutter This includes creating individual schedules for 80+ staff, planning activities and events for groups of 10-140, ordering and organizing materials and managing a budget. This role also requires the development and planning of unique activities and curriculum for young people, with a focus on empowerment and community connection. During the summer I am responsible for leading a team of staff through a challenging long-form event with positivity and grace under pressure. During the fall and winter, I am also responsible for forming relationships with new campers and parents and onboarding them into our community. I assist families with their payment plans, and maintain the books for camp, keeping track of payments and invoices. I am skilled in data management and maintain a large collection of spreadsheets tracking our enrollment progress over the course of the year. I also manage and process a large amount of information on our database (CampMinder) and am responsible for its upkeep; making sure information is cohesive across all relevant platforms and spreadsheets. • Camp SAY Associate
      • May 2019 - Present

As the Camp SAY, Associate I worked year-round to manage and plan for the Camp SAY experience. Most notably I was solely responsible for comprehensive, innovative activity and event design in reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of my triumphs during this period include:- Designing a brand new online curriculum from scratch in a matter of weeks, in the initial 2020 quarantine period.- Planning, assembling, and creating graphic design for "Camp in a Box:" packages individual to each virtual camper during Camp SAY's first (and only) virtual summer. This project included managing an $11,000.00 budget and assembling all 160 packages in my garage. Each camper and staff member received materials unique to their activity choices, a daily newsletter, packs with art and +science essentials, and many more fantastic elements. All materials were beautifully packaged in company colors, and presented with my brand-new graphics created just for the virtual camp experience.- Completely recreated the camp schedule upon our return to in-person programming to create COVID-safe, outdoor socially distant programming. This included exhaustively restructuring camper groupings, activity timing, and implementing new safety procedures. Additionally, much of our previous programming had to be changed in the interest of COVID safety. I created dozens of new innovative activities that became a huge hit with campers, and are still used at camp even as restrictions have changed. Show less
