    • Semester in the City Ambassador
      • Aug 2020 - Nov 2020

As a Student Ambassador, I represent Semester in the City on my campus and work to bolster recruitment efforts by generating grassroots outreach to students, faculty, and staff. Semester in the City is a fast-growing program based in Boston where students can come live in the city to work with a social change organization. I was selected to be a paid ambassador after participating in the program in Spring 2020. My role as an ambassador consists of delivering presentations to students, generating content on my social media channels, providing feedback on marketing initiatives, and using my networking skills to build relationships at my university on behalf of Semester in the City.

Center to Support Immigrant Organizing is a grassroots non-profit that focuses on bringing together the immigrant communities of Boston. During my time there I did a lot of work on translating documents to and from Spanish, English, and Portuguese. I also developed a workshop centered around language justice to be used for their youth program. Outside of the office, I attended events called Dialogues that was hosted by the organization that created an open, language friendly space to discuss issues or questions that immigrants in Boston have.
