-) Advising on business development strategy-) Customer acquisition-) Fostering agile teamwork: establishing a culture of openness, participation, conflict management and continuous learningAbout us Corporate Democrats:**********************************We guide people and organizations on their path to more and better participation. Corporate democracy is a binding form of self-organization. It is not a means to the sole end of profit maximization. We also research how transformations can be successfully shaped in a sustainable manner, which not only benefits the science of change processes at the organizational level, but also enables us to accompany transformation processes on a data-based and scientifically sound basis.+ Corporate democracy+ Self-organization+ Change & transformation processes+ Agility in organizations+ ParticipationWhy self-organization and corporate democracy? Freedom, justice and solidarity are the basis of a modern, sustainable and above all humane society. Every organization is a subsystem of our society - and is therefore committed to it. Our perspective is therefore always a social one. We are concerned with the whole picture than the mere organizational perspective. It is about more than just preparing companies for the changes that have long been visible and tangible as a result of globalization and digitization. We understand our work as corporate democrats as a responsibility to promote social-ecological sustainability: working together is about good, healthy and meaningful work. Perhaps not at every moment, but in general.

My research in the field of (Behavioural) Science Studies focused on how the science evaluation system with its incentives and performance indicators affects knowledge production in astronomy. How does the current culture in science affect research quality and the motivation of scientists? Astronomy is the perfect science to study from a meta-perspective. It is dedicated to basic research, strongly instrumentalized, involves large collaborations, and the use of (open) archives and huge datasets. Astronomy asks highly fundamental questions which inspire both scientists and the public at large. How do incentives due to funding, publication practices & indicators affect a field with the sole aim of pushing knowledge forward? The media below presents my results.

My main research line focused on how the academic culture relates to scientist's motivation and research quality. In particular, I studied the science evaluation system with its incentives affects knowledge production in astronomy. Additionally, I researched academic career systems and the employability of PhD holders in industry. In particular, I am studied the various career paths that doctorate holders pursue after completing their PhD. I compare skills that researchers acquired during their PhDs with the skills they need in their current jobs and the motivation doctorate researchers for doing the PhD, which determines their subsequent job choice. This project was carried out in collaboration with Statistics Netherlands (CBS, Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek). Next to my research work, I was involved in PhD representation at Leiden University as the 2016 External Affairs board member of the Leiden PhD Association. In addition, I was the administrator for the COMbINE Network founded by the CWTS and funded by the British Academy. It is a network of academics from the research evaluation field, encouraging a culture of a high-quality mix of quantitative and qualitative methodology
