Employed by Wiltshire college to deliver the Adviza National Careers Service contract to individuals 18+ at Salisbury campus:Delivering 1;1 professional and impartial careers advice and guidance to individuals 18 and over to help them overcome barriers to progression in learning and work. These individuals would be from all backgrounds and of all abilities. Sessions would cover cv writing, skills analysis, identifying training and employment opportunities and creating SMART action plansSessions would also be delivered in local JCP, outreach centres such as Childrens centres and in military learning centres.Also delivering to community organisations such Alabare and individuals from the local women's refuge. Supported and promoted the military JEMS project to adult military dependants and the Building Heroes programme to military veterans.As part of a team from Wiltshire college travelled across Germany to military bases to promote opportunities in Wiltshire and at Wiltshire college to the returning military families. They could be at any stage of their career. • The service leavers were from all sectors and disciplines within the military including vehicle mechanics, project managers, security specialists, IT , Physical Instructors • Advice and guidance sessions could also take place at the Tedworth House Recovery Centre run by Help for Heroes • Advice and guidance was also given to those military personnel facing redundancy • The duration of this support for each individual could be up to 3 years • Signposting and referral of clients to specialist support when required including the RFEA and Officers Association. • Empowering clients to identify own solutions and defining and achieving goals • Coaching clients to develop a SMART action plan • Use online tools to help clients assess skills and potential • Accurately and factually record information on outcome, objectives and action plans using relevant IT system in accordance with operating procedures and work instructions.
