My role was dedicated to launching and operating the new initiative, in coordination with the Executive Director, Communications Director and Head of Science. It was immensely satisfying to get this project off the ground as part of the EAT Stockholm Food Forum and watch it grow into a public-private partnership of passionate chefs, heads of state, tech leaders, and more at the Food Forever Experiences hosted around the globe. I oversaw FFI's budget, partner outreach, and public-sector event coordination, including side events at COP22 and UNGA. I played a key role in developing the website, its content, and other communications efforts. I also facilitated with reporting on SDG 2.5 to FAO and donors. We accomplished so much in so little time, and I'm incredibly proud of all involved.

  Upon completion of the 1-year fellowship, I was promoted to Partnership Assistant where my primary objective was to ensure the successful execution of the Crop Trust Pledging Conference in 2016. I managed the logistics and donor outreach for the 2 years leading up to this ministerial-level event that raised more than $300 million in financing commitments. The preparatory outreach included assisting the Director of Partnerships in tailoring the organization's Fundraising Strategy and working with consultants in the United States, Mexico, South Korea, France, the European Commission, and the Middle East to develop relationships with appropriate ministries. I drafted project proposals; edited grant agreements; and sent regular communications to solidify new partnerships. In tandem to reaching new donors, I was also in charge of organizing the annual Donors Council meetings with existing partners. I also enjoyed guiding the work of the new Partnership Fellows each year.

  I am forever grateful to the Crop Trust staff for entrusting me with such a wide array of responsibilities from the start. I worked across the organization, supporting each team from Finance and Science to Fundraising and Communications. My primary tasks included drafting background research on public and private donors, as well as high-level correspondence. I also organized the migration of the organization's contact database to a new platform and oversaw its maintenance throughout this time.

  There's nothing quite like the thrill of a campaign grind, especially this one declared a "race to watch" by CNN. As a dedicated intern, I spent this time leading volunteer recruitment, training workshops, and outreach to young voters.
