  I manage a small team of librarians within the Knowledge Services team at NHS Health Scotland. The role of the service is to provide knowledge support and expertise to colleagues within Health Scotland and external partners on the topic of health inequalities and public health.We offer a literature searching and thematic analysis service, current awareness, information skills training, book lending and document supply, as well as providing advice in areas such as copyright and information management. My role focuses primarily on service development and improvement, in order to ensure that the team is able to provide relevant knowledge to support delivery of Health Scotland's organisational strategy 'A Fairer Healthier Scotland', and to promote the application of knowledge through a Knowledge into Action approach.
