I work the register at Copperfield's Books, which involves helping customers find the books they are looking for, as well as ordering books that we do not have in stock. I am also in charge of the magazines. I enter the invoice into the computer system, make sure it matches with what we actually received, and shelve the magazines. I also pull old magazines, set up returns in the computer, and ship them back to the company. Being a tour guide at V. Sattui meant understanding the winemaking process, and being able to describe it to people that may not know a lot about the subject in a fun, yet informative way, to keep them engaged. I worked many winery events, and weddings. It was pertinent to be punctual and organized so the event ran smoothly. In order to help both customers and vendors, it was important to remain calm in stressful situations and maintain high levels of communication. Being a tour guide at V. Working almost every position that was available, I learned the importance of being flexible for the employer. I learned to remain organized and communicate so that the service ran smoothly. Working in a fast-paced environment taught me how to remain calm and focused in rather stressful situations.
