Although her time at Zoic was brief, this season, I would love to have Julia return to help us next fall. She's one of the most highly skilled junior animators that I've ever worked with! Beyond that, she really surprised me with her dedication, her organization, and the proactive attitude that she has. She read and absorbed all the documentation I gave her, learned our in-house tools and pipeline in a day, then jumped right into production at full speed! I often see very seasoned senior animators sweat bullets for two weeks when they start at Zoic because of the pace that we have to work at on the shows that we create. Julia also has a stellar attitude. She never complained, got upset or grumbled about anything - she always had a fun, upbeat demeanour, even when receiving "do-over" notes from the client (or from me!) If you're looking for a rising star, you've found her!

Upon learning that Julia was a recent animation grad from VFS and available to the animation department part-time, I went about assigning her tasks. It was clearly evident on the outset of her first tasks, that she possessed not only the skills to complete work quickly and to exact specifications, but a singular passion for the animation field in general. I was also impressed with her ability to grasp any technical instruction immediately with little or no need for a repeat of those instructions.
