Responsibility for the delivery of the programme of care events for children and young people, including nine residential events, one training weekend and one review meeting every year. Key components of this role included:- Managing two full time members of staff, and over 150 care events volunteers, including volunteer healthcare professionals- Selecting suitable venues each year to ensure appropriate legislation, guidance and good practice standards of health and safety and safeguarding are adhered to and a varied programme of activities is in place- Managing a £200,000 budget for the children and young people’s events and all financial transactions and contracts with suppliers including the payment of invoices and volunteer expenses- Recruiting suitable volunteer teams for all events and ensuring all volunteers have undergone the appropriate checks, have been trained and have received all necessary guidance documents- Developing evaluations for the events to collate feedback from children, parents and volunteers to inform the care events strategy and improve the events programme, and producing an annual report for the consideration of the Executive Team- Supporting the Head of Events and Conferences to develop the care events strategy Show less
