Jayrod Garrett
Julia takes care of the people who work for her. She takes care of the students in her care. Every move she makes is calculated for the benefit of those that she works with. What makes her spectacular in her relationships with the youth in the YouthBuild program, professional relationships, and data management is that she cares. Julia doesn't really know how to give up either. She always is looking for some way to make success for those around them. Whether that is pushing her Success Coaches to do more for their students, listening to the challenges of the youth in her program, or writing grants with her colleagues to provide funding for the program her tenacity and experience consistently lead her to success. In the time that I worked with her she taught me a lot about how work with young people and she pushed me to often go beyond the call of duty in serving our students. However Julia always taught these things by example. Nobody pushed our students harder or worked harder for them than Julia. I was privileged to work with her as long as I did.
