Committee Secretary
-
Jan 2012 - May 2013
As Committee Secretary, my responsibility was to summarize the contents of proposed legislation to the full committee. I would advocate on behalf of the students, working to prevent the passing of legislation that would jeopardize the rights of students. This occasionally required disagreeing with members in the committee. In such circumstances, the committee as a whole would collaborate to find a solution that satisfied the administration and preserved student rights.
