The following was achieved: - Developed the programme structure, overall approach and plan and then implemented the separation of Al Jazeera Sports from Al Jazeera Media Network. - Established the vision for 2020 for Al Jazeera Sports globally, including defining the measurable criteria for success. The ambition and transformation required will surpass all other television network achievements globally - The vision was then followed through with to detail a strategic roadmap of over 30 initiatives over the next 2 years. - The high level business plan, initiatives, milestones, timelines and key performance indicators were also defined - The entire organizational structure, globally, had to be defined and implemented - Designed the support functions structure, benchmarking for level of support staff required and the negotiation of the sizing as well as the individual staff members to be transferred to the new organization - Management of several project teams to achieve alignment across both organizations, formalization of the transfer process and subsequent implementation - Coaching of senior executives and managers to ensure issues could be resolved and support and confidence in the program maintained I greatly enjoyed this role and would have been very pleased to stay on with beIN Sports Global team. The Foundation has played a key role in Qatar's transformation into a political, economic and cultural powerhouse in the region, despite its small size. It has 3 core areas - education, science and research and community development. There are over 60 different entities and centres within the Foundation, including top tier Universities, leading edge technology and innovation companies as well as community programs to help foster a more progressive society. My role covered all areas of the Foundation and was responsible for: - implementing, directing and managing the strategic planning and evaluation system across all centers and directorates to ensure funding decisions and investments were aligned - influencing and working closely with the executive teams from Human Resources and Finance Division to ensure a more collaborative approach was taken for all centres. Previously there was very little collaboration or alignment - Develop strategic decision making tools, guidelines and support materials to enable formulation of relevant business plans for all centers and directorates, both for my team and for the centres themselves - Provide clarity and give strategic direction to the Foundations entities on the overall strategic vision and direction - Design, develop and manage the execution and writing of the first 2 Annual Performance Reports for the Foundation as a whole - Lead, manage, recruit and train all staff members to ensure quality of outcomes Show less

It was a major achievement given the timing, the region and the administration processes involved - I was responsible for managing the budget for all Qatar operations - I led, managed and trained the local team to ensure quality delivery of all executive education programs - Established and implemented the overall guidelines and processes for the production of programs in the region to ensure quality and efficiency - Lead the coordination with Paris to ensure coherence of program production according to specifications established in Paris and to ensure that operations at HEC-Q are in line with global processes, client expectations, organisational standards for delivery, academic policies and procedures, specifically International Accreditation. This was key to ensure the brand of HEC Paris was maintained. - Represented HEC Paris in Qatar in front of senior executive clients, prospective clients and all students Show less
