In my role as Primary Years Programme Coordinator, I provided curriculum coordination and guidance for grade level teams in the Primary School division, securing: high quality teaching, the effective use of resources as well as supporting high standards of learning and achievement of all students. Key responsibilities included:* Assisted with the induction of teachers new to the PYP* Coordinated the overall planning and delivery of the PYP curriculum for Grades 1-5 with all PYP teachers* Ensured continuity and success of the PYP through close partnership with all teachers and leaders across the School. * Lead staff development workshops regarding the PYP as well as Inquiry based teaching and learning.* Co-taught, demonstrated, and collaboratively planned for learning which was significant, engaging, relevant and challenging. * Work closely with the Assistant Primary Principal, the Primary Principal and Assistant Director to set goals for vertical and horizontal alignment of the Curriculum.
