      AMURE (UMR 6308 - Development of the Uses of Marine and Coastal Resources and Spaces): State of the art of the sustainability indicators on the different french fisheries, as well as on the multi-criteria approaches used to assess them. The goal was to produce a guide of indicators based on the three dimensions of sustainability, to enlighten the current debates on the sustainability of fishing methods and to carry out a state of the art on the economic, social and environmental indicators already existing. A special focus was on the exploration of the innovative aspects related to the notions of social well-being, animal welfare, food safety, which are increasingly grasped by the civil society. To do so, I realized an important review and analysis of institutional reports, scientific papers, standards, etc. I also had to identify the multi-criteria decision methods to apply to the indicators in an evidence-based decision making process in order to assess the relative performances of the fisheries by establishing preferential rankings between the different methods and by taking into account the stakeholders (professionals, researchers, NGOs...).
