  Objective of the research is to find out the current state of logistics measurement at Neste Oil and to provide a suggestion on how logistics measurement at the company should be developed. To achieve this goal three following research questions are answered: (R1) What are the most important aspects of performance measurement that should be understood in developing internal logistics measurement, (R2) What is the current status of logistics measurement at Neste Oil, (R3) How internal logistics measurement should be developed at Neste Oil.This research was conducted with qualitative methods. The main data collection methods of this study are interviews, workshops, discussions and observations. The study introduces two theoretical frameworks, the aim of which is to capture and analyse the current logistics metrics at the case company and to support the development of a new measurement system.This study provides the company with actual solutions on the development of logistics efficiency and effectiveness. As a conclusion the study proposes a new corporation wide set of logistics metrics. Implementation of a new logistics performance measurement system was initiated in the company as a result of this study. Show less
