As Instructional Designer, I support the college's mission and strategic objectives, including developing teaching standards and policies for all online/hybrid courses at the college in compliance with the Interregional Guidelines for the Evaluation of Distance Education, Quality Matters, and current research. I have designed and continue to facilitate an online instructor certification course and also serve as LMS administrator. In addition, I design, develop, and deliver professional development workshops, courses, individual training sessions, tutorials, and instructional resources for various educational technologies and software; collaborate to develop master courses and influence curriculum decisions; troubleshoot technical problems for students, faculty and staff; recommend technology tools for teaching and learning and problem solving; past chair of the Professional Development Council, present chair of One Book, One College, and serve on various committees. I am a passionate supporter of Universal Design for Learning and Open Educational Resources and am an advocate on and off my campus.
