Have worked as an Electrician, Loader, Pusher, Dresser, Stage Hand, Spot Operator and Carpenter. Working in this Union allows me to work on Broadway Tours and Touring Concerts. • Production Lighting Tech II
      • Jan 1997 - May 2012

Since 2002 I was promoted to a Production Tech II Lighting. In this position I have been a Shift Leader, Lighting Designer, Programmer, Lighting Coordinator, Lighting Consultant and a Lighting Supervisor. I have for the last 10 years organized the lighting for our entertainment venues, Special Park Wide Events, Hotel Events. I frequently have to organize the lighting warehouse. From our tools to our lighting gear. I am also in-charge of hiring our lighting technicians for our Halloween Haunt. I manage the hours and schedules for the lighting staff. I work with a budget to help provide the necessary gear for the year's events, from gel to light boards. Coordinate with Lighting Designers and Master Electricians for successful lighting installs during our events or shows. During my supervision for lighting Knott's Berry Farm's Halloween Haunt won a THEA award. Without the lighting staff I could not do any of this. Because of my working relationship with my co-workers I can easily assign projects based on their speed and skills. We speak to each other as equals. This is what is needed get the job done. I do however have to discipline the crew at times but I do this in a discrete manner. At times I do address the whole staff so that they can depend on each to correct or adhere to any safety issues. When I first started in 1997 I worked as a Day Operations Tech I in which I ran the daily operations of show in our entertainment venues. Saloon Show, Wagon Camp Show, Camp Snoopy Show, Indian Trails Show, Ice Shows, Special Events and Rental Shows.I worked as an Master Electrician, Spot Op, Electrician, Programmer, Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager and Deck Crew Show less

Working at the Downey Theatre was like a second home. I know we all have one of these places that we have been a part of in our time.As a staff member we worked all aspects and positions of our community theatre. From the shop to House Managing to Designing. Our Theatre supervisor would provide us with all the technical needs for upcoming show. But as a Master Electrician, Light Board Op, Sound Board Op and stage manager I work closely with the vendors, owners, clients, choreographers, and/or organizers to get their vision across through our work. Designed lights for over 100 shows which include Dance shows, Plays, Musical Events, Concerts, Bands, Orchestras, small and large corporate events. Previous position held was as a Stage Crew Supervisor Show less

Train and guide them in the to use of a single purchase fly rail system, lighting system, audio system, set construction, theatre safety, theatre etiquette and operation of all shop equipment.Patience is a virtue and because of this job I did learn a great deal about it.
