  Instruct emergency responders (21 years) from the field level in the Incident Command System and personnel in the Emergency Operations Center in specific positions under the Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). Managed the Officer and Safety Field Program (OSFT) for law enforcement for 17 years as a live range instructor and Simmunitions (SIMS) for the State of California. Have responded to numerous disasters in the State as Public Information Officer, Public Affairs Officer, Lead PIO, Operations Section Chief, Deputy Ops Chief and numerous other positions within SEMS. Have trained with the National Disaster Medical Services throughout the nation on SEMS. Helped write law for SEMS. As an Emergency Manager for Kings County, wrote response plans for the County and the 4 incorporated Cities. Chair person for the Medical Response Committee with other agencies such as The County Health Officer, Lemoore Naval Air, CHP, law enforcement and fire agencies and monitored and help write law for medical response for ambulance and medical personnel. Helped with the hazardous material laws AB 2184/5 when first implemeted and the unreinforcement law that was implemented in 1989. Currently managing and teach programs such as Disaster Planning, Managing Sustained Operations, Crisis Communications and the Media, level 1,2 and 3, Earthquake course, OSFT when available. Am utilized as a reporter for field operations for Hazardous Material courses and teach Public Information for these courses as needed. Show less
