Case Manager for Bantay Bayan (Office of the Director for Legal Affairs)
-
Mar 2020 - Jun 2020
Bantay Bayan is a citizen-watch program initiated by GoodGov PH to ensure that local government units (LGUs) are taking proper steps in fulfilling the citizens' needs in a time of crisis such as with COVID-19. This is done through providing legal advice, facilitating legal action, and creating information publications. My task is managing and monitoring the legal cases we receive as complaints through our help-desk, seeing these cases from start to finish. The National Youth Congress is an annual convention that aspires to provide high school students an engaging introduction to the field of economics and to show the power of economic analysis in clarifying relevant issues in our society. My task involved handling overall delegate management and overseeing a team to help with this. We created and facilitated the entire registration process, delegation policy, and emergency contingencies. We created statements of accounts and handled the entire payment process. Overall, my team and I handled delegate needs and concerns, and was responsible for overall information dissemination to the delegates. In my term, 35 high schools (and 240 delegates) from all over the Philippines was able to attend NYC. The event received the 2020 Ignacio B. Gimenez award for UP Student Organizations’ Social Innovation Projects. Show less
