  I was working 1 year as TBM tunnelling shift engineer of two 8.8 meters NFM EPB TBMs in Tideway project. My main duties were: Ensuring works are undertaken in accordance with existing RAMS and excavation is carried out in accordance with the current operational instruction sheet, controlling the supply sequence of rings to the TBM to enable correct ring building, selecting and recording the orientation of the rings built to follow the TBM alignment, recording the critical path activities of the shift on the TBM data base and Face logging and recording of tools changed during interventions. Some of the main duties were: undertaking all works in accordance with the specific ITP, ensuring that the works are built to the correct standards, maintaining profile control for excavation and spraying, ensuring works on site are carried out safely with due regard to the protection of the workforce, public and the environment, including managing exclusion zones and recording as built information using survey equipment (TS-15, TS-50 and Amberg software).   I was working 4 months as control room engineer of two 6 meters NFM EPB TBMs. My main duties were: providing checks and balances that the TBM is being controlled to the parameters set out in the Plan for TBM Advance and if not asking that the parameters should be followed, providing the initial surface point of contact in an emergency in the tunnel, the collection of data and the reporting of that TBM and associated plant data, providing accurate and timely responses to project management and attending regular meetings (SRG, CTC).
