  Zulal Oasis is a Joint Venture Company created in Qatar between Oasis Agrotechnology and Hassad Food, which is the world's largest food company, having one billion Dollars paid up capital. It was created for the development and implementation in Qatar of a model of sustainable agriculture, with the minimum consumption of water and economically viable. A revolutionary pilot project was implemented with such success that it aroused great interest in Qatar and other GCC countries. The press echoed the success of the project, which surpassed the goals set. In addition to the functions of the General Manager, I was directly responsible for the creation and implementation of the Company in Qatar; organization and management of the tender and the contracting of construction Companies; Project Management and supervision during the construction of the Pilot Project; monitoring, control and adjustment of the technology during the R&D phase; relationship with private and public bodies in Qatar; marketing, distribution and sale of the vegetable products from the greenhouse; and promotion of the technology.   It is a consortium of companies created with the objective of developing a sustainable agricultural model for arid zones, starting in the Gulf. After an exchange of visits and meetings, the government of Qatar selects Oasis AT to develop agriculture in the country. This is first materialized in the signing in 2011 of a MoU with the Qatar Sovereign Wealth Fund (Qatar Investment Authority) through Hassad Food Co. Subsequently the joint venture Zulal Oasis LLC is created, of which I am appointed General Manager in that same year. In addition to the duties of the Technical Director, I was in charge of the coordination of the different companies that comprise the consortium, the creation of the work team and the implementation of the company in Qatar. I also led the initial design, development of the hydroponic greenhouse model specially designed for the Gulf, the study of previous technical and economic viability and its implementation in Qatar.   I joined as a manager a company in difficulties with the main objective of marshalling limited resources to the most productive uses with the aim of creating maximum value for the company's stakeholders. In a few months, I managed to expand the company's work portfolio and dramatically increase its profitability through the optimization of the work team and a radical change of management, which included the restructuring of the company's assets and the rigorous establishment and monitoring of the Quality. In addition to the successful implementation of multiple environmental, civil works, revegetation and landscaping projects in Andalusia and in the rest of Spain, one of the great achievements was the execution of the forestry work with the largest budget ever executed in the country.
