Our design team formulated a master plan for Mumbai’s Eastern Waterfront. Awarded honorable mention for a scheme that establishes partnerships between adjacent rich and poor communities through an exchange system. By leveraging Mumbai’s culture of informality, we argued for a development tactic that ties the building of new water, transit and business infrastructures to conditions agreed to by developers of carefully chosen sites. As a techniques and visual representation resource, I worked to ensure well-executed design work from first year architecture students. Through weekly one-on-one sessions and workshops, I offered the students techniques to quickly realize their design visions. I was also a secondary advisor for the students, charged with maintaining rigorous thinking and clarity of presentation in the student’s design development.

      • Jun 2013 - Aug 2013

During an intense 8 week summer session, I served as a design thinking and techniques resource in preparing incoming students for Architecture school. During pin-ups and reviews I worked alongside the instructor, critiquing student work. Additionally, I assisted the instructor in familiarizing students with architecture drawing conventions and representation techniques. Through workshops, I established for the class efficient workflows in digital design and offered a suite of best practices for digital fabrication. Show less
