Juan Pablo is a fast learner and an excellent student. By taking an archaeological excavation course, he went outside his area of university training, but quickly learned the techniques and principles of archaeological work. Just as importantly, his friendly, patient, and accepting demeanor helped the whole team work more effectively. In addition, his fluent bilingualism provided an important bridge between the English- and Spanish-speaking members of the team.

After the start of the pandemic most of my work migrated from on-site to remote online. The demand for digital products and services grew in the development sector and budgets pointed out to measure impact and Covid-19 mitigation efforts across the humanitarian sector. This increase led to an organic creation of a studio that offers a growing number of services, ranging from editorial, infographics, ecards and brochures to animated videos and landing websites to help promote annual reports. I was called by OXFAM in Myanmar to develop a series of videos showing the work they have been doing regarding water and sanitation inside several Rohingya refugee and internally displaced people camps around Sittwe in Rakhine state. I was also in charge of training remotely an IDP Oxfam staff member to record interviews through a series a small workshops. The consultancy originally consisted on producing around 7 short one minute videos and 3 mid 5-7 min. videos as well as a series of photos showing people's faces with positive results and impact in their lives. The political situation in Myanmar made the contract end before full completion but a part of the deliverables were fully produced. Show less

My role was to be in charge of coordinating the client's idea with the front end team, the marketing people and the developing area. The job was to basically make ideas happen. www.phi.life is a web app (start-up based) that aims at connecting people with the right property. We were trying to adapt and shape to a new way people feel, meet and buy or rent houses. The startup follows mainly one idea: To make relationships between people and houses a more personal thing.
