Global Schools was launched in October 2018 at the IB World Conference in Vienna, Austria. Global Schools is an initiative of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a global research and policy network launched by the UN Secretary-General to support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. Global Schools' mission is to create a world where every primary and secondary school student is equipped with the knowledge, values, and skills necessary for effectively responding to the greatest challenges of this century and shaping a sustainable and prosperous world. The Global Schools Program has been working internationally to support schools and educators with evidence-informed training and localized classroom resources in order to integrate sustainable development into school curricula, operations, and activities. European Parliament (AFET Committee- External Affairs). STRUCTURAL FUNDS (DG Regio).- Following legislative proccesses concerning finantial aids, working with main DG Regio responsibles as Mr. Michele Pasca-Raymondo, assistant to the Director General of Directorate General Regional Policy. - INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE AND SOCIAL INCLUSION ISSUES.- European Commission (DG Justice and Home Affairs / DG Employment and Social Affairs). Anna-Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between cultures) –Creating synergies with others European and non-european cities but Mediterranean Cities inside the Barcelona Process framework. - NETWORKING: ENAR- European Network against Racism and Xenophobia. Meeting with the Vice-President Mrs. Clara López de Letona. – Migration issues. Raising awareness strategies. ERLAIM- European Municipalities and Regional Network on Asylum and Migration. Working in different proposals and specially in the INTI (Integration for third country nationals) Programme - SPANISH PERMANENT REPRESENTATION TO THE EUROPEAN UNION.-Meetings with spanish officials and representatives from other spanish regions to discuss about new policies launched by European Institutions Show less

Association) in discrimination according to Gibraltar social security system.- POSITIVE answer from the European Commission concerning our inquiries (Right of spanish pensioners to have the same social services as gibraltarians pensioners). REFERENCE: http://www.lukor.com/not-por/0506/14144630.htm - European Parliament (EMPL Committee / PETI Committee).- Following the legal process concerning a question made by A.L.P.E.G. concerning their lacks of rights in front of Gibraltar pensioners and looking for new support in Employment Committee inside European Parliament. OIL SPILLS IN ALGECIRAS BAIE European Commission (DG Environment) / (DG TREN- Transports and Energy)- Defending environment and closest cities interests fighting against illegal practices concerning “bunkering” activities. Meeting with former DG TREN Commissioner, Mrs. Loyola de Palacio, attaching to her DG a document concerning those practices that create sea pollution. European Parliament (ENVI Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety).- Meeting with representatives in this EP Committee to look for new backs in fighting “illegal bunkering”.
