La Iniciativa de Sostenibilidad Legal Corporativa (ISLC) es un espacio de colaboración entre Derecho UC y la empresa privada con el objeto de identificar los desafíos legales que enfrentan las compañías globales y elaborar respuestas, basadas en derecho, a tales problemáticas, con una visión de largo plazo y bien común. Los objetivos de esta Iniciativa son, entre otros: 1. Identificar estándares internacionales que se aplican a empresas chilenas globales y determinar su cumplimiento adecuado, considerando el entorno social y regulatorio que enfrentan las empresas; sus operaciones en diversos países; y las complejidades de las sociedades modernas. 2. Analizar la relación de la empresa con su entorno y sus diversos stakeholders, con una visión de largo plazo y bien común, considerando especialmente aspectos medioambientales, sociales y de gobernanza. 3. Desarrollar una visión prospectiva de los desafíos legales que enfrentarán las empresas nacionales, en temas tales como derechos humanos y empresa; empresa y territorio; transparencia y probidad empresarial, etc. 4. Desarrollar nuevas formas de gobernanza y cumplimiento estratégico de obligaciones para las empresas, desarrollando estructuras y culturas orientadas hacia un proceso de integridad y sostenibilidad corporativa.
