Juan is one of those people that you just instantly love. He is so passionate in everything that he does. The way he conducts himself - to the way he works with his peers and support team members is truly fantastic. I have watched Juan grow over the years into the incredible person he is is today. When we were together at LACOSTE I used to get so excited to travel stores with Juan on the west coast to see his work and see his relationships with the retail teams. Everyone spoke very highly of him and I could see the amazing partnerships that he had cultivated over the years. The stores always looked great too. I also used to have Juan come into the corporate offices each season to help with merchandising guidelines, and special projects that were implemented throughout North America. I would highly recommend Juan and would be delighted to work with him again. Juan is one of those team members that you can always depend on and he is going to get the job done no matter what it takes. He is a very special person to me not only as us working together, but like family. He is one of a kind and I wish him all the best on his next chapter and can't wait to see where he lands. He is very talented and loves what he does and again, is always committed to everything that he does.

Juan was a direct report of mine at Lacoste. Juan started his career at Lacoste on the sales team at our Madison Ave. boutique. Juan always showed interest in visual merchandising and was often appointed the visual trainer in the store. As Lacoste was growing as a brand in the U.S. the visual team was also expanding. An opening for the Northeast Regional Visual Manager opened and Juan applied. Juan did not have a visual background, but Juan demonstrated will and ability and these are two characteristics that are valuable in any hire. Juan was able to quickly grasp the vastness of change and growth and became a great teacher to his stores and a great support to his region and teammates. Juan can think quickly on his feet, provide sound solutions, coach/train and hold stores accountable on standards of excellence. Juan made good calls when in need of substitutions and often would create solutions to challenges within his territory. Juan is a true brand ambassador. He is positive, patient, open, respectful and always has a smile and builds wonderful relationships with both the internal and external customer. Juan would be a great asset to any team and offers any company not only expertise in Visual Merchandising, but also in building relationships and problem solving.

2006-2020 West Coast Regional Visual Merchandising Manager, Boutique, Outlet and Wholesale
-
Feb 2006 - Mar 2020
As the West Coast RVM, I collaborated with the Marketing and Visual Teams and oversaw special events logistics in LA and in partnership with the VM Team outside of LA for 14 years, including Coachella Desert Pool Party, Costume Design Guild Awards, CDGA Symposium, Indian Wells Paribas Open, Lacoste Retail Meetings, Miami Open, New York and LA Showroom Market Set Ups, Superbowl Parties, Press Previews, and PROJECT Trade Show Booth in Las Vegas. We received 3-year consecutive "Best in Show" during the PROJECT Trade Show Booth in Las Vegas from 2010 to 2012 through creative booth set, merchandise presentation, and efficient logistics management. I created seasonal US Merchandising Guidebooks with the Merchandising and VM Teams from 2008 to 2015. I supervised the Regional Visual Coordinator and Freelancers on the West Coast to ensure focus on the Wholesale aspect of the brand. I provided strategic direction to achieve continued success with the West Coast Wholesale Market in 2019, recording an all-time high sale, garnering accolades to the field teams, and warranting additional merchandise into the existing assortment.Furthermore, the business achieved overall success for the Wholesale Market through efficient coaching and training strategies for the LA Market Visual Coordinator, delivering maximum profitability for the brand. I handled logistics and allocation for all VM Related Materials, Marketing, and Visual Aides for the new Lacoste Le Club Concept while completing Floor Capacities and directing the store opening teams for each new location on the West Coast. I effectively managed logistics after training with the Global VM Team in Paris, for the implementation of a newly developed Window Concept in Las Vegas from 2013 to 2015. I also strengthened brand imagery and organizational growth by incorporating comprehensive knowledge of development and strategy management for the newly remodeled locations in the US, especially the Flagship Store on Rodeo Drive. Senior Sales Associate and Merchandiser
-
Aug 2003 - Mar 2004
Being the Senior Sales Associate and Merchandiser, I enhanced the product's overall sell-through by effectively spearheading and handling merchandising presentation maintenance across the store in compliance with company guidelines and operational standards. I obtained $1.1M+ in sales along with two senior colleagues, recording a historic revenue for a sales associate and catalyzing the origination of the Million Dollar Club, a recognition given to a few people with extraordinary achievements in the company. I also leveraged a successful track record in sales and a strong background in visual merchandising, resulting in my promotion to the company's first Regional Visual Merchandising Manager. Show less
