Phil Walker

I've been using Juan Ayala for several years now to greatly enhance my planning documents. I've utilized him primarily for doing visual simulations to illustrate the "before" and proposed "after" results of my plans. His work is so good that the viewer cannot tell that the "after" simulation is not an actual post-implementation photograph. His work has helped me sell the ideas of my plans to developers, elected officials, and the general public, and they give my presentations a real "wow" factor. I would highly recommend Juan to anyone who needs similar services at an affordable price. - Philp Walker, AICP - Principal - The Walker Collaborative

In the time I worked with Juan he has demonstrated commitment and determination to putting forward the best design practices. Juan was always ready to deal with unexpected changes and he would respond diligently. He listened and collaborated with the client of a village extension project in Prague during the proposal phase to lower the overall fee by making our design approach more efficient. From a supervisor’s perspective, Juan brought leadership and technical skills to our team. The projects he managed and helped design demonstrate the work of a successful urban designer professional.

Juan teaches physical design, site planning and comprehensive graphic communication techniques for planning and urban design. He demonstrates the technical aspects of qualitative visualization and design techniques within a typical design process. His lessons bridge the use of physical models with the technological aspects of computer generated graphics, and design specifications. He has developed his own advanced graphic techniques, methods and application using Rhino 5 and Maxwell Studio Render to create photo-realistic architectural renderings and 3D models. Students learn the application and value of these skills in planning projects and the design process. Show less
