  The ARTORG Center is a strategic biomedical engineering research hub created in 2010 and situated in front of the University Hospital in Bern (Inselspital). The centers mission is to accelerate the translation of biomedical engineering research prototypes into clinical trials and spin-off / start-up companies (+5). I joined ARTORG in 2010 as a research assistant and stayed there as a PhD student and postdoc, in total 10 years. During my postdoc: - led teams engineering activities with a focus on carrying out the first-in-man clinical trial (2016-2018). - initiated own research projects and created a team specialized on sensor and bio-impedance technology (1 PhD student, 2 research assistants). - extended the centers academic and industry network of partners across different fields, like neural engineering, thin-film technologies and neurological surgery.
