JT joined EdR/the University of Louisville as a Receptionist in 2007. She immediately made significant and positive impacts on our entire campus community. She consistently took on roles which were above and beyond the traditional receptionists’ responsibility; she regularly showed those for whom she worked that she had the knowledge, skills, and personality to advance in the department/organization. Because of all of this, she advanced and was promoted to Leasing Professional after only one year with the department. Subsequently, she showed stellar skills in the areas of leasing, marketing, advertising, and most importantly, leadership. When the position of Leasing and Marketing Manager (LMM) became available, she was immediately thought of as a perfect fit for the role. JT was again promoted and served in her role as Leasing and Marketing Manager the longest of any role with EdR to date. As the LMM, she took on a plethora of department-wide initiatives and used her creativity to strategically market and advertise to our target audience, the University of Louisville students. What’s more, even though it was not her role, she oversaw the marketing responsibilities for the entire department of Campus Housing at the University of Louisville for upwards of two years, while they searched for someone to fill that position. She never skipped a beat in her efforts; she reached 100 percent occupancy five years in a row – something very rarely done at any location in the entire company.
