Life has many mysterious blessings. When I was a fresh kid out of college, Adams Nut & Bolt placed me next to JR. For the next few years, JR coached me on the difference between "relevant and irrelevant data," how to gracefully release technology, working with a company and how to plan around disasters. JR was the first guy I called when starting my own Marketing Automation consulting firm. He was placed on retainer to be a technical advisor (was the biggest line item expense on my P/L). Later... I once again spent my own money hiring him to clean up my WindowsNT mistakes (when I owned a wholesale distribution company). He had the unique acuity to understand what I could handle on my own and when someone else should be brought in. He's unique as can speak nerd, sales guy and CEO. He's blessed to have a strong foundation and beautiful family (yes I've met them personally). In the world of bogus LinkedIN references "ask my friends how great I am referrals" I can honestly say I've taken money out of my pocket and placed it in JR's - multiple times with multiple companies over multiple problems. I welcome personal calls, Tim PS - He spends company money like it was his own... very unique in IT.
