  Sirlute was founded in April 2019 as a community group before converting to a charity in March 2020. Working across London, in boroughs such as; Tower Hamlets, Newham, Hackney, and Croydon. We achieve this by providing free creative learning activities in music, multi-media and fashion for youth deemed at risk, or/and isolated from society and living in low-income households. We run grant-funded creative projects and personalised mentoring for children and young people, aged 5 to 25 years old. Our beneficiaries are from majority, Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. Our Vision is for a more equal society where all children and young people can thrive regardless of their backgrounds, and we’re on a mission to ensure that young Londoners from underrepresented backgrounds can access the quality creative opportunities they need to reach their potential. We are a lived-experience-led organisation headed up by passionate young leaders with lived experience of the issues our beneficiaries face. Our youth board help us steer programmes and activities in the right direction by ensuring there are age relevant and engaging. We lead by example, and as successful creatives, we model the behaviour we expect to see. Show less
