  Uterine contraction: influence of different patterns on labor progression Project related to the biomechanical area, namely with the study of different types of abnormal patterns of uterine contractions and their impacts on childbirth through variations in the mean values of the main stress distribution, stretching in the longitudinal and circumferential directions of the uterine tissues, as well as fetal movement. All simulations imposed were based on a constitutive model of the uterus and fetus inserted in the Abaqus software for subsequent analysis of their behavior as a function of the different stimuli imposed. The work was composed of two main components: the computational aspect, at the level of creation, adaptation and modification of algorithms for the simulation of the various stages of the types of contractions to be performed and the experimental aspect, with the aid of Abaqus software, for the eventual numerical and visual analysis of the levels of progression of each of the simulations individually and subsequent comparison of the different values obtained for the parameters mentioned above.
