I am biased since Joyce is my daughter but the facts are that Joyce is very responsible, has strived for and attained very high grades through high school without pressure from me and her Dad and has done some great service to people in our community !

My student teaching experience is at Lalor Elementary school in Hamilton, NJ. My first placement is in a K-3 self contained classroom where I accommodate for 11 children with needs varying from Autism, to cognitive impairments and communication impairments. In this placement I have learned how to differentiate for all types of learners, and support them and their families. My student teaching experience is at Lalor Elementary school in Hamilton, NJ. • Summer Internship: Researcher
      • Jun 2014 - Aug 2014

This was a summer internship through The College of New Jersey's MUSE program. I worked along side another student under the guidance of a professor to research how to integrate principles of nanotechnology into high school science curriculum. I synthesized hydrophobic and superhydrophobic surfaces on glass microscope slides in order to demonstrate hydrophobicity in a classroom. I wrote a corresponding lesson plan that is centered around inquiry based learning and a design challenge while helping students to see the real life applications of hydrophobic surfaces. I also assisted in researching how a solution with silver nano particles will change colors in the presence of the different DNA nucleotide bases. I will be presenting my findings at the National Association for Biology Teachers Conference in Cleveland in Fall of 2014 Show less
