  Joyce Janvier has produced documentaries and profiles for CBC French TV, RDI , ARTV. When the french all news channel was created in 1995 , she oversaw the development and launch of the the very successful art show Courants du Pacifique for RDI. In 1997 , Courants du Pacifique was awarded the Roger Communication award for the best art and entertainment show in Canada.

  Background Information : In the 1980s...Joyce Janvier led the expansion of the CBC french TV news in Vancouver with the first daily art segment in a news show in Canada. This initiative won the smallest CBC news room in Canada the CBC Annick Award. Her good editorial judgment and programming skills won her a place as the newsroom lineup editor. Later on, she anchored the news for the regional show Ce soir and went on to anchor the News from BC for the RDI national network. In her 30 year career with the CBC she has always been given a key role in the development and launch of a wide range of successful new products and services, including new journalistic sections devoted to arts & entertainment , coverage of elections, the Commonwealth Games . Expo 86 and other big stories, and many projects supporting the CBC broadcast priorities. Joyce has always hold a dedicated place on CBC French TV in British Columbia . Her talent as a host and as a storyteller and her breadth of experience in theatre and the performing arts has been a definite asset for the CBC .
