Joy has been a wonderful person to work with. Her knowledge of trauma, therapeutic approaches, and creating a safe therapeutic atmosphere far exceed her years of experience. She is a diligent advocate and an insightful professional. She would benefit any organization and any group looking to address trauma healing and recovery. I could not recommend her more highly.

Grace Collings

Joy is a high skilled Nonprofit professional. She is an advocate for victims that have experienced trauma and that have limited resources. She is dedicated to her work and willing to go the extra mile when needed.

I'm an "Arctivist" (Artist+Activist) who shows up, hears people, contributes what I can, and invites people to relearn, heal, and build. Let's keep making space to heal, embrace uniqueness, and choose well without cutting into the choice of others. I am a new artist! I want to spend my time well while I'm here, however, I have learned from vicarious trauma and burnout that I need to build healthy outlets and expression into what I am doing. Since art and music have been so impactful in my healing journey, I will incorporate it into my daily work. I am hoping my art and music will pay so I can continue to volunteer in a way that brings balanced, healthy, and fruitful contributions to my community. My art is either clay sculpting or repurposed/upcycled/refurbished items. Environmental injustice is so rooted and linked with trafficking, exploitation, and systemic oppression. Show less

Delaware County Against Trafficking is the anti-human trafficking coalition of Delaware County. We exist to provide education and increase community awareness. With an emphasis on advocating for improved legislation, supporting existing services, and creating a coordinated response, DCAT works for victims of human trafficking in the county by: - Organizing and participating in community events to raise awareness on resources, laws, and emerging needs on the current state of human trafficking. - Building a cohesive network of providers to respond to local cases. - Collaborate to share current resources and increase supplemental support for existing initiatives. - Facilitating bi-monthly educational training events. Recordings are available. - We hold development meetings for those who want to assist in the development and launch of our new marketplace or our outreach/education initiatives.
