Wellbeats, formerly Fitness on Request, is one of the 500 fastest growing companies in America and is #6 in Minnesota! We film a robust selection of engaging, cutting edge group fitness classes which are loaded onto kiosks in various complexes, resorts and fitness centers as a convenient alternative to live group fitness classes. As a lead instructor I create and lead delayed-lived Group Fitness classes. I create the choreography for each class based on a specific theme with a specific focus in order to put customers in the best possible position to create great change in their physical fitness. Each class is fun, inspiring, safe and energizing! Currently I have lead TKO classes, which is a form of mixed martial arts.WELLBEATS™, formerly Fitness On Request, introduced the virtual group fitness concept to the fitness industry in 2008. Since then the company has continued lead innovation in programming, delivery methods and technology applications to make group fitness more accessible to a wide audience while more targeted to meet individual needs. WELLBEATS™ has a “content-driven” strategy, producing their own programming quarterly and partnering with industry-leading fitness companies such as Silver&Fit®, EXOS™, MOVE ME!™, Jillian Michaels, Zumba® Fitness, Les Mills™ and more to deliver smart programming, in a way that makes the most effective for virtual. In this position I focus on revenue and relationships. I am responsible for the Fitness and Aquatics departments of the Hastings YMCA which includes Water Exercise, Lifeguards, Swim Lessons, Fitness center staff, Personal and group training, Group Fitness and Active Older Adults. We have high revenue goals for each month which I am responsible for meeting. I am also responsible for improving the NPS reports for said programs. The relational portion of my job is community-based. We want to bring our programs to as many people as possible to build a stronger community. This means not only our members, but non-members around us as well. I develop partnerships within the community to meet more needs. We take what we do well and pair it with what the community is already doing well to have a greater impact!I have also been volunteering my time as a master trainer for the YUSA for the last 2 years. I facilitate trainings in Healthy Lifestyle Principles, Foundations of Group Exercise and Child Abuse Prevention. I am part of a program we've put together to train brand new instructors called the "Instructor Development Clinic". We offer 3-4 trainings a year with a team of master trainers. This clinic includes master classes, lectures and feedback.

In this position I was very hands-on in managing the Group Fitness programs at two different branches of the YMCA simultaneously. Each program had approximately 80 classes on the schedule per week, along with a budget of approximately $100,000.I am certified and am teaching or have taught numerous free-style formats such as Cardio Kick, Group Cycle, Core Conditioning, Boot Camp, Tabata, SilverSneakers Classic, SilverSneakers Circuit, SilverSneakers Yoga and formatted free-style Jillian Michaels BodyShred. The pre-choreographed formats I am skilled in are BodyPump and RIPPED.I managed weekly, monthly, community and holiday schedules. I supervised approximately 70 staff recruiting, hiring, firing, developing and assessing said staff. I managed payroll for my staff, and monitored certifications to remain in compliance with YUSA standards. I grew each program in introducing new group fitness formats and increasing GX to facility ratios by up to 8%. I managed the remodel of a studio including flooring and sound system.I was co-chair of our annual Cycle for YPartners event which raised ~$10k towards our annual campaign. This included securing cyclists, instructors, donors and volunteers.I was responsible for my own marketing within the branch and on our website, remaining in compliance with YUSA standards.
