CAP Sonoma is an umbrella agency that houses multiple programs. I perform various duties for the following programs: Season of Sharing: - Manage Season of Sharing programs throughout Sonoma County which helps low income families with housing assistance and critical family needs. - Coordinate volunteers that approve applications for assistance. - Moderate social media discussions on race as a representative of CAP Sonoma. - Coordinate with partner agencies to ensure updated Season of Sharing guidelines. - Advise non-profit partners in Sonoma County that utilize the Season of Sharing program. - Train and recruit non-profit partners in Sonoma County to participate in the Season of Sharing program. - Authored the Season of Sharing database user guide for use by caseworkers. - Coordinate with the Season of Sharing headquarters in San Francisco. - Select and submit client stories to the San Francisco Chronicle to encourage donations to the program. - Guide low income clients in the application process for housing assistance. - Coordinate with the Season of Sharing fiscal agent to troubleshoot discrepancies in client cases. - Compile monthly reports for submission to the SF Chronicle HCA Family Fund: - Caseworker for the HCA Family fund - Hosted a monthly public workshop in which I presented program requirements, and the application process. - Met one on one with clients and would present their application to the approval committee. - Meet with clients for monthly followup meetings. - Guide low income clients in the application process for housing assistance. COVID Assistance Program: - Send out applications to people who have been financially impacted by COVID. - Gather necessary documents for application submittal to the approval committee. - Communicate with client landlords and employers to verify past due amounts and loss of wages. - Guide low income clients in the application process for housing assistance.
