      The Equity and Engagement Program Manager’s primary responsibility is to lead King County’s Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Equity and Social Justice Strategic Plan implementation and the incorporation of sustainable pro-equity strategies throughout the Department. The Program Manager leads a team to engage in numerous multi-faceted strategic projects and programs that engage 5000+ employees in DOT’s five divisions in becoming a more equitable, culturally responsive, and inclusive work environment in order to provide high quality services to the community that advance King County’s transportation and mobility pro-equity policy agenda. The Program Manager designs and coordinates employee training and engagement opportunities that advance awareness and skill sets to advance racial justice and systems changes that will result in greater equity in program outcomes. The Program Manager works closely with DOT Communications and Government Relations staff to build and sustain community partnerships that support equity and social justice, a priority area for the County Executive. The Program Manager also represents the DOT on the county-wide Equity and Social Justice Interbranch Team and serves on assigned countywide initiatives in coordination with other Departments, the Office of Equity and Social Justice, the Executive’s Office, and/or Council.
