The goal of the Catalysis and Adsorption for Fuels and Energy (CAFE) group is the sustainable upgrading of oil sands resources for the purpose of meeting national and global demand for affordable energy while generating economic and social benefits in Canada.My role as a senior laboratory assistant for the Catalysis for Bitumen Upgrading of the University of Calgary included performing routine analysis for the characterization of oil samples, training of students and staff members as well as maintenance of equipment and keeping the laboratory inventory to date.
