      • Assembled Subassemblies for the Alinity S. This instrument was approved by the FDA and has been implemented in various countries, it’s purpose-built for blood and plasma screening, this innovative product allows to process more samples with less effort and with more consistent control. • After the subassembly process which consists of smaller assemblies then comes the final assembly. The final assembly is divided into 11 stages. Each stage consists of certain components, these components are broken into different parts that contain circuit boards and other functional parts that serve a purpose in blood and plasma screening. • Troubleshooting was performed to each instrument after the completion of final assembly. Each instrument has the same tests that are performed in a timely manner. At the beginning of the troubleshooting phase a software is installed in order to ensure proper testing procedures. • Various calibrations, alignments, motors, precision and accuracy tests are performed to guarantee a successful buffer run. (A buffer run is the final test performed on an instrument before documenting each test on the history record in order to package and ship the instrument). This final test performs 600 sample runs using reagent cartridges and sample cups through different pipettors for an estimated time of 100 minutes. 588 out of 600 which is 98% efficiency is needed to proceed to final packaging and shipping.
